Hi Christina. This is Scott, Imani's friend, not sure if you remember me or not...a couple of months ago we were talking about the writing process in your living room and you told me about the advice Sonia Sanchez gave you: "make your bed." Well I just wanted to let you know that I had the opportunity to see her read at AWP in January (she was great) and she's coming to Slippery Rock University this upcoming Monday the 21st to do a reading for our Kaleidoscope Arts Festival. It starts at 7:30 pm and is in the Advanced Technology and Science Hall Auditorium in case you are interested in going. I've been asked to give her introduction and I'm super excited about meeting her and spending some time with her. So I wanted to let you know about this event, but I also wanted to tell you thanks for introducing me to her work. :)
